Annadhanam

Annadhanam – “donation of food”, is a sacred practice of providing food to those in need. Feeding food for the hungry and deprived is considered as an act of feeding the God. Important and memorable occasions in your life such as birthdays, anniversaries or any other special days, can be an excellent opportunity to offer Annadhanam and feed food for the hungry and deprived.

Our volunteers search and reach out to the hungry and provide them lunch and clean drinking water. We have served 10000 meals till 10th June 2025. You can donate through the donation forms in our website or through a direct bank transfer or through a UPI transfer. All donations made to Aalayam Selveer Foundation is eligible for a 50% deduction from taxable income under section 80G of the Indian Income Tax Act.

Aalayam Selveer Foundation Help 2 Schools

Help 2 Schools

Scope of the program:

Government schools play a pivotal role in shaping the educational landscape of the nation. The most commendable aspect of government schools is their commitment to inclusivity. They welcome students from various socio-economic backgrounds, ensuring that education remains accessible to all, regardless of their financial status. This inclusivity not only promotes diversity but also strengthens the social fabric of our nation.

Despite their noble mission, government schools often grapple with inadequate basic amenities such as clean drinking water, non-availability of study bench, outdated or non-availability of lab equipment, non-availability of ceiling fans, tube lights and inadequate sanitation facilities can hinder the overall learning experience for the students.

Aalayam Selveer Foundation focuses on enhancing the quality of learning experience in the government schools by sponsoring projects in creating basic amenities and elevate the standards of government schools across Tamil Nadu.

Program Coverage:

  • Government schools in rural areas.

Uzhavarapani

Cleaning & Rejuvenating Ancient Temples:

Upkeeping of Lord Siva temple is known in tamil as Uzhavarapani. Uzhavaram is a small spade that seventh-century Saiva Tamil poet-saint Tirunavukkarasar carried along with him for keeping Lord Siva temples neat, clean and tidy. There are thousands of great ancient temples in Tamil Nadu which are not adminstered by TNHRCE. We identify such historic ancient temples in remote places and undertake Uzhavarapani(temple cleaning), ensure the revival of daily poojas, contribution towards basic amenties, oil for pooja, other pooja related consumables, planting flower saplings, identifying and passing on the sthala puranam information of the temple through Aalayam Selveer YouTube channel and ensure regular footfalls to these temples. Join hands with us in reviving and transforming these historic ancient temples.
